When the PI opened in September of 2001, there was no Bu Hasa Building and no Independent Learning Center. Now, over five years later, we have a busy learning center crowded with motivated students ready to develop their academic skills and language proficiency “by themselves” and “on their own”. This is the meaning of the ILC at its best.

While the classroom is the place for instructional guidance and support from your teachers, the ILC is the place to find materials that support not just English but the other disciplines of math and science. Using the resources such as the reference books, the DVDs, the videos, the students can pursue deeper interests in the various subjects that concern them.
